The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras invites online applications for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027. It is a comprehensive understanding test for candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Arts, Commerce, and Science. All eligible candidates can apply online through the official GATE 2027 website starting from 14th August 2026.

- All Other Categories: Rs. 2000/-

🧑🎓 Eligibility Criteria for GATE 2027
- A candidate who is currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program OR who has already completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities is eligible to appear for GATE 2027.
- Candidates who possess certification from professional societies approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/UPSC as equivalent to B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch./ B.Planning are also eligible.
- Candidates pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India must be currently in the 3rd or higher years or completed their Bachelor's degree (duration at least 3 years).
